A penny for your thoughts
A dollar for your dreams
Have you ever wondered
What that expression means

Is it a nickel for a sentence
And a quarter for a paragraph
And if you do a whole page
Is that worth a dollar and a half

And what is so valuable
To put up cash on the line
And offer such a reward
Of what is on our mind

This just goes to show
How curious we have become
To offer real money
For the ideas, of someone

And is this age old question
A totally noble plea
Or are we just trying to find out
Their opinion of you and me
